Profile

After my African studies at university I have spent considerable time in the Congo. There I got familiar with the daily life of the local population and particularly with the attitudes of African elites. In addition I was able to acquire sound diplomatic and intercultural skills.

For seven years I worked as the German external spokesperson of the aforementioned Belgian company. Creating editorial calendars, writing press releases and articles and keeping personal contact with key media were among the duties I performed during this time.

In recent years I tended to focus on online communication. I led the new media team of a PR company for 10 years. In this team we supervised the activities of a wide range of our customers on the Internet. Most recently the integration of social networks became a key task in addition to the generation and maintenance of corporate and campaign websites.

Although I am a not a computer scientist my knowledge in relevant programming languages and server technologies allows me to lead the design of complex solutions, to discuss technical approaches with IT specialists, and to assess its plausibility and quality.

I am therefore often acting as an "interpreter" between different cultures; between Africans and Germans, between customers and programmers.
